EVALUATION

Below is a description of the Evaluations to be use for the Unit KNIVES:  A Chef’s Best Friend.  Building a “tool kit”. On the left you will find links to each of the evaluations

Evaluations

Activity 1 Part1

The student is to use a spread sheet to make a glossary

Student will turn a hard copy of theglossary and will save a copy to their computer, their personal folder on the server and place a copy in the instructor’s folder on the server.

Activity 1 Part2

The student is to list and discuss in writing or verbal the eight (8) part of a knife.

Written Quiz with answer key.
Verbal -Visual of Knife(picture) and Check sheet for part of a knife.

Activity 2

The student is to develop a spread sheet to store information on the type’s knives.  Give a list of specific task the student will tell which knife to use to complete the task.

Student will turn in a hard copy of information spread sheet to the instructor.
Written Quiz on Kinds of Knives to use with answer key.

Activity 3

The student will use information collected to make a decision on which knives to buy for his “tool kit”.  After the decisions made the student will develop and present a power point presentation to the class.

The power point presentation will be graded using the rubric developed by the instructor.
